Escape room austin group rate7/2/2023 There were a few rooms happening at once I think so once we got the pills from the last step nothing happened. This wasn’t the end for this one, the goal was to get some pills. Usually for an escape room the goal is to well escape. It was fun but we wish we had known the end goal. Once this was figured out we did the insane asylum room. Also this is one of the more expensive escape rooms you can do, many other places are around $20/person. The issue was we reserved for 4 (4 emails, 4 signed waivers) but it was showing as for 2 only. There was an issue with our reservation at first and the woman who was stationed at the front appeared extremely irritated with us. They have wonderful customer service and better rooms. I'd suggest going to The Escape Game in Austin better. Also their air-conditioning isn't working and I was feeling a bit claustrophobic throughout our game. This is the same discount they offer you every time you do a room with them. When we asked for a free room for the inconvenience of driving so far when they should've informed us before coming, they said the most they'd do is give us 30% of the next room. He offered a refund or to move it to a different date. When we got inside he told us something was broken in the room we had reserved and that we weren't going to be able to use it. When we were about to drive away about 20 minutes after arriving, the guy showed up apologizing about a staffing issue. One of the groups left while we discussed what we were going to do since we had driven 45 minutes to get there. When we showed up no one was in the building and there were 3 other groups of people also waiting. Then on the 4th of July we scheduled their Tortuga room. We came and did the Wizard room and they hadn't reset it fully so there were things that were already opened that shouldn't have been. This place was good when it first opened but had gone down hill drastically.
